Our Mission

Our vision is sustainable energy production. Our mission is to build the world's best waste to fuels production company.

Our strategy is to design, finance, construct, own (all or in part) and operate a series of commercially viable fuel production plants using existing technology, integrated in an innovative way, to produce high quality fuel from low cost waste materials. Eventually, we intend to use a wider variety of waste materials to produce a wider range of products.

We are here to create enduring shareholder value. We do that by continually perfecting and executing on our business plan. We build long term relationships with our customers, employees, management team, our business partners, our investors and the communities in which we work while producing non-oil based fuel that is economically, ecologically and socially sustainable.

About Rational

Rational Energies was formed to produce and market, on a commercially viable scale, fuel made from material recovered from municipal solid waste (MSW) and other solid waste streams. Put simply, we make fuel from garbage.

We are a Minnesota based company with a global view dedicated to the sustainable production of transportation fuel. We have an experienced technical and production team with over 40 patents in biofuel production and chemical process design, with major energy company experience. We have many years of combined experience in business start-up, fund raising, executive management, technical integration, business development and government contracting.

Rational Energies, established in 2007, is closely aligned with Minnesota values such as hard work and personal leadership as well as the American spirit of innovation. Our key advisors include University of Minnesota faculty members, scientists, entrepreneurs, and senior management from major companies.
